With his understanding about the theatre performance, director Azaryan makes us believe that there exists a certain point in spirit from which on life and death, the real and the imaginary, past and future, high and low cease to be perceived as contradictory.

Azaryan has long transcended the field of theatre. In the consciousness of the actors he works with he is not simply and only a director. For the actors the encounter with him is not just an attempt at interpreting a text and at “reaching” a performance. Any theatre production process he is at the head of becomes an event. Directors give actors a sense of freedom of spirit and imagination, but Azaryan gives them much more: the feeling that working in theatre is serious work done on the way to self-realisation.
